Mark your calendars for Saturday, 31 October – Sunday, 1 November and join us for a weekend of fun, birdwatching, and conservation. Applications for team registrations will open in August, so please check back then.

The NSW and ACT Twitchathon is a unique blend of friendly competition and community fundraising, where teams race against the clock to spot as many bird species as possible. Whether you’re a backyard birdwatcher, a first-time birder, or a seasoned twitcher, there’s a race for you: choose from 30-hour, 8-hour, or 3-hour challenges.

Last year’s Twitchathon raised $28,000 to support vital research and conservation efforts for the Far Eastern Curlew at Port Hacking, Sydney. An incredible achievement powered by the community.

Twitchathon has been running for 30 years and has already funded dozens of critical bird conservation projects across NSW and the ACT. Be part of this proud tradition – form a team, join the fun, and make a real difference for our birds.
